Apple Watch's Killer Feature: Connected Home Control?

Apple Watch's Killer Feature: Connected Home Control?

There's been a lot of debate as to what the killer feature for the Apple Watch would be. A lot of people have said that there is none. A lot of people have decided that it's unneeded. In the end though, the conclusion that makes the most sense, is that the Apple Watch's killer feature will be decided by the developers that are making the apps for the watch. I've had my Apple Watch almost since launch and have myself gone through a few different killer features. Communications are fantastic, using it for commutes is pretty killer in itself, traveling with it is a great feature, and using it for rewards programs and Apple Pay also makes a really compelling case at a killer feature. Lately however, there's been a new breed of Apple Watch apps

3D Printed Compact Apple Watch Dock and iPhone Dock

When I first received my Apple Watch I was annoyed that Apple didn't include or even sell some kind of dock with anything but the ridiculously expensive models. I know I only bought an Apple Watch Sport, but still, it feels pretty bad just laying it on a table. Any movement of the cord moves the whole watch, always leaving me struggling against my fears of it falling off of the table. I searched for docks, but none of them were available at launch. Thingiverse had a few, but most of them didn't meet my needs. I wanted a watch and iPhone combo dock, that was still compact. So I started designing one. My objective for the design were that it should be able to dock both my Apple Watch, and iPhone 6 Plus, yet still be compact, and look good while doing it. Top 5 Most Useful Apple Watch Apps

After using my Apple Watch for the first month or so, I feel like the novelty has worn off, and I've settled into a normal day to day with it. While there are already a lot of really great apps on the Apple Watch. These are the ones that I find myself using most often every day. The ones that I find make my life easier. These are the ones that I feel actually add to my life. These are the first apps I can think of, off the top of my head whenever I'm asked about the Apple Watch. I also won't be including any built in apps on this list because, what's the point of that?

Pebble Time; Too Little, or Just Enough?

Pebble Time; Too Little, or Just Enough?

Earlier this week Pebble, the company famous for releasing the first truly smart watch, announced it's newest product. The Pebble Time. The Pebble Time which has a color e-paper display that allows it to be always on, yet still get a week of battery life, and is readable in sunlight. It's also thinner and lighter then the original Pebble and Pebble Steel. It also has a new operating system which seems rather interesting. It's a timeline, kind of like Google Glass's much maligned interface.
